Coronavirus COVID-19

14 Mar 2020

Hi All,

As Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to dominate the headlines, we want to share with you the latest set of guidelines that Sport England has advised us to follow.

This is a situation that is moving quickly, and we advise you to read carefully the advice which can be found here.

In addition, please remember that the most recent advice is that if a person feels unwell, with symptoms such as a new and continuous cough, they should self-isolate at home for seven days.

As a club we are monitoring the situation and will take advice from the ECB/YCB should national advice change, at this moment we are still running both Senior and Junior nets however we would ask all members, players and parents to consider not attending practice sessions if any of the following apply:

1. You or any member of your immediate family are unwell with a persistent cough or fever

2. If you or any members of to immediate family have recently returned from a country of high risk as stipulated by the home office

We want everyone to enjoy the buildup to the cricket season and do not want to have to ask members not to attend training but we are also conscious of the health and welfare of all our members, players, parents and supporters during this challenging and unprecedented time.

Inside the entrance to the pavilion we have supplied antibacterial hand wipes, please can we make sure that every person that enters the pavilion uses these.

We will continue to update you with more information as the situation develops.
